My version of Ambrosia salad


     Ingredients
  1. 1 20-ounce can of pineapple chunks drained.
  2. 1 can of pineapple rings (for topping)
  3. 1 11-ounce can of mandarin oranges drained.
  4. 1 10-ounce jar of maraschino cherries.
  5. 2 10-once can of fruit cocktail
  6. 1 cup flaked coconut. (or more if needed)
  7. 2 fresh bananas cut up in slices
  8. Walnuts as many or little as you want
  9. Pecans as many or as little as you want
  10. Mini marshmallows are optional (I don't use them)

Directions
  1. Use the juice of one can of fruit cocktail for sure but you may need more 
  2. Use the juice from the jar of cherries
  3. Mix all the fruit and coconut together along with the nuts
  4. Eyeball the amount of juice to coconut to make sure it's not to wet or to dry
  5. At this point you may also want to add some sweet wine but this is optional
  6. Cover the top with coconut then add pineapple rings on the top with a few cherries
